Food Can Heal

Farm-to-table should reach every table.

Harvest Moon Collective began with bees, honey, and a belief that food can heal. Our first active product line is Petal to Hive, beginning with small-batch Maryland wildflower honey from our Finksburg hives. We are building the next phase: microgreens, mushrooms, zero-waste preservation, Harvest Moon Shares, education, and a broader Collective Partner Network.

Our Story

Harvest Moon Collective was born from a simple belief: real food, real relationships, and real healing can transform our communities.

We’re a community of local growers, makers, and neighbors working together to regenerate the land, nourish our families, and build a more just and abundant future.

Real Food. Real Impact.

Petal to Hive

Petal to Hive began because we keep bees. Not because honey is a product line, but because bees are a responsibility.

Our bees forage across apple blossoms in spring, wildflowers through summer, and late-season goldenrod into fall. The honey reflects all of it, a seasonal record of what bloomed around us.

Our Collective. Many Gifts.

Different offerings. One mission: healing people and the planet through food, connection, and care.

A collective is not a company with a mission statement. It is people who decided that doing this together was the only way it actually works.

What Does Collective Mean?

Local growers. Makers. Neighbors. Friends.

Pollinators

One in three bites of food exists because a pollinator visited a flower. The food system is more fragile than the grocery store makes it look. Start here.

Water

Less than half a percent of Earth’s water is usable by humans. Agriculture uses 70% of that fraction. Water stewardship is foundational.

Food Equity

Food deserts are not accidents. They are the result of decisions. Understanding how the food system creates inequity is the first step to building local alternatives.
